Institute presentation

The undefinedUniversity of Udine (UniUD) is the legal entity acting as contractor for this project.

Dr. Brambilla is Senior Lecturer in Psychiatry at the University of Udine, Udine, Italy, attending psychiatrist at the Academic Hospital of Udine, and Adjunct Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, USA. His current h-index is 43 as calculated by Google scholar and 39 as calculated by Scopus (see Google Scholar, LinkedIn, Academia, Frontiers or ResearchGate profiles).

At UniUD, Dr. Brambilla is leading the undefinedResearch Unit on Brain Imaging and Neuropsychology (RUBIN), which is mainly dedicated to the study of the pathophysiology of major psychoses and autism. A variety of neuroimaging techniques are used, employing structural, diffusion, spectroscopy, functional, and perfusion acquisitions integrated with psychosocial, cognitive, immunological, and genetic investigations. Also, machine learning procedures, which will be used in PRONIA, have been implemented in schizophrenia by our group, being one of the first international laboratory to apply such techniques to psychiatric imaging. Currently, at UniUD we are leading or co-leading national multicentre studies in major psychoses and autism.

As per this project we will collaborate with the Psychiatric Clinic (Director: Prof. Balestrieri) of the undefinedAcademic Hospital of Udine and with the undefinedProgramma 2000 at the undefinedNiguarda Ca’ Granda Hospital in Milan, which is the first and only established Italian early multidimensional intervention program for first-episode patients and ARMS individuals
